INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

SUBSTRATE QUALITY / PREPARATION

Before applying the material, the surface must be cleaned of any oil, rust, dust, hardened binder and paint residues, mold, concrete care products, other surface treatment substances that may interfere with adhesion. If there are cracks, voids or depressions on the surface, they must be repaired (filled) using the appropriate Teknorep or Teknogrout repair solutions.

Teknolatex 500 is a ready-to-use emulsion. Mix thoroughly for 3 minutes before use.

APPLICATION

To increase adhesion and water resistance of concrete and plaster mortars

Teknolatex 500 is added and mixed in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 to the amount of water (reducing the amount of water by the same proportion) directly into the concrete mixer before adding cement, sand and other components of the mixture. To increase the plasticity of the solution, if necessary, the superplasticizer Teknoflow Super can be added to the solution (in the amount specified in the technological card).

To increase the adhesion of old concrete to new concrete or to use as a base coat before plastering

Used to prevent cold joints on new concrete or to apply screed to old concrete and to increase adhesion.

Mixing proportions of the working solution:

A: 1 kg of cement, 3 kg of washed quartz sand (fraction 0-3 mm)

A: 1 kg of Teknolatex 500 to 2 kg of water.

The components are mixed until a homogeneous working solution is formed.

The working solution is applied to a previously moistened surface until matte with a layer 2 mm thick. Application of plaster, screed or new concrete must be carried out within 20 minutes, until the adhesive layer dries.

To reduce water absorption of absorbent surfaces

Teknolatex 500 can be used as a primer for absorbent surfaces in its pure form or diluted with clean water. It must be applied with a roller or brush.

CLEANING THE TOOL

Tools and equipment must be rinsed with water immediately after completion of work. After hardening, it can only be removed from the surface mechanically.

MATERIAL DATA BASIS

The above technical data are obtained from laboratory tests carried out at a temperature of + 20 °C and a relative humidity of 50% in the Tekno Yapı Kimyasalları laboratory. The results are obtained 28 days after the tests. The actual characteristics of the material may vary due to reasons beyond our control.

RESTRICTIONS/PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Teknolatex 500 may cause skin irritation. When using the material, cover exposed areas of the body and wear safety glasses. If the emulsion gets into the eyes, immediately rinse the affected areas with plenty of running water and consult a doctor.
