  • Before applying the material, clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
  • If there are cracks or cavities on the surface – they must be sealed with Teknorep.
  • When laying tiles on a marble or ceramic surface, you should give it some roughness. When laying tiles on a concrete surface, it should be moistened.
  • Pour 6-7 liters of clean water into a clean container. Slowly pour the Teknofay Flex powder (25 kg) into a container with water and use a low-speed mixer to knead the composition until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
  • Leave the resulting compound for 5-10 minutes, then re-mix it with a mixer for 1-2 minutes.

Notes:

  • The work should be performed at an air temperature of +5 to +35 °C. When laying tiles at a low (below +5 °C) or elevated (above +35 °C) temperature, it is necessary to cover the newly laid tile with a thermal insulation material.
  • The grout should be applied no earlier than 24 hours after laying the tile.
  • After applying the compound, it is necessary to protect the surface from adverse weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (more than +35 °C), rain and frost.
  • The tools and equipment used must be washed with warm water immediately after use. You should also thoroughly wash your hands and face with warm water and soap.
  • The product may cause irritation if it gets on the skin. It is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. Before starting work, you can also apply a protective cream on your hands. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with warm water and consult a doctor.

Storage rules:

  • Store in a dry, frost-proof place, in an undamaged original packaging.

1. What is the glue for large-format porcelain stoneware?

When choosing an adhesive composition for laying large-sized finishing material, you need to pay attention to: adhesion to the base, elasticity of the material and for the lifetime of the working mixture after mixing. An excellent option is the elastic adhesive Teknofay Flex C2TE S1 with high adhesive properties and increased open time.

2. What is the glue for 600x600 porcelain stoneware?

For laying 600x600 porcelain stoneware, the ideal choice is the elastic adhesive composition Teknofay Flex C2TE S1, which is suitable for indoor and outdoor use for wall and floor coverings.

3. Is it possible to put tiles in an unheated room?

It is possible, but provided that the temperature in the room does not fall below +5 °C, and the surface on which the tile is laid is dry. Laying the finishing material on a damp or wet surface is not recommended.

4. What kind of glue should I use for outdoor work?

For external application, an adhesive with an appropriate operating temperature range is used. For example, the Teknofay Flex C2TE S1 material can be used for outdoor work, as it can withstand temperatures from -40 ° C to +80 °C.

5. Is it possible to mix different tile adhesive?

It is not recommended to mix different tile adhesives, as their composition may include incompatible components. This may not lead to an improvement in the characteristics of the adhesive composition, but on the contrary, to a deterioration.

6. Which glue should I choose for porcelain stoneware for underfloor heating?

A warm floor is a surface on which the movements of the finishing coating constantly occur due to the heating and cooling of the floor. Therefore, the glue must be elastic, otherwise the granite can either crack or peel off (usually, the latter is more likely).

7. What kind of glue is suitable for large-format tiles?

For large-format tiles, use a special Teknofay Flex C2TE S1 adhesive for laying finishing materials on plaster, drywall, aerated concrete and concrete. The adhesive adhesion is more than 1.65 MPa.
