  • The surface should be smooth and clean. Before applying the material, clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
  • If there are cracks or cavities on the surface – they must be sealed with Teknorep cement compounds.
  • When laying tiles on a beton surface, it should be moistened.
  • In a clean container, pour 6,8-7,2 liters of clean water. Pour the dry compound (25 kg) into a container with water and use a low-speed mixer to knead the compound until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
  • Leave the resulting compound for 5-10 minutes, then re-mix it with a mixer for 1-2 minutes.

Notes:

  • The work should be carried out at an air temperature of +5 to +35 °C. When laying tiles at a low (below +5 °C) or elevated (above +35 °C) temperature, it is necessary to cover the newly laid tile with a thermal insulation material.
  • The grout should be applied no earlier than 24 hours after laying the tile.
  • After applying the mixture, it is necessary to protect the surface from adverse weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (more than +35 °C), rain and frost.
  • The tools and equipment used must be washed with warm water immediately after use. You should also thoroughly wash your hands and face with warm water and soap.
  • The product may cause irritation if it gets on the skin. It is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. Before starting work, you can also apply a protective cream on your hands. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with warm water and consult a doctor.

Storage rules:

  • Store in a dry, frost-proof place, in an undamaged original packaging.

1. What kind of tile adhesive is frost-resistant?

A good frost-resistant adhesive is considered to be Teknofay EX C2TE white, which is used for laying wall and floor coverings in freezers.

2. Is it possible to lay tiles in the minus?

No. Even frost-resistant glue, which can withstand very low temperatures, is laid at plus air temperature and the surface on which the finish coating is laid. Ideally, the temperature should not be below +5 °C.

3. How to lay tiles made of porcelain stoneware on the street?

Laying porcelain stoneware on the street does not differ from laying the finish coating indoors. But before laying porcelain stoneware on the street, check the weather forecast. The temperature of the air and the surface within 24 hours should not be lower than +5 °C and not higher than +35 °C, and it is also impossible to work in rainy weather.

4. Why can't you put the tile on a thick layer of glue?

When laying tiles with a very thick layer (more than 10 mm), the finish coating may "go" a little, since it will take more time to fix the glue. Also, the time of complete drying of the adhesive composition may increase, thereby delaying the commissioning of the facility.

5. Is it possible to use ordinary glue for underfloor heating?

Not every glue is compatible with underfloor heating. It is better to consult with a professional who can choose the right adhesive composition. But Teknofay EX C2TE glue is perfectly compatible with underfloor heating and is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

6. How much water is there for tile glue?

For proper mixing of the working solution, look for the ratio of components indicated on the package. Depending on the ambient temperature and air humidity, 6.8-7.2 liters of water should be used for 25 kg of Teknofay EX C2TE glue.
