  • Before applying the material, clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
  • If there are cracks or cavities on the surface – they must be sealed with Teknorep cement compounds. Apply Teknofay C1T should be 3-4 days after the cracks are eliminated.
  • Before laying the tiles, it is recommended to use a primer.
  • In a clean container, pour 6,8-7,2 liters of clean water. Pour the dry powder (25 kg) into a container with water and use a low-speed mixer to knead the composition until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
  • Leave the resulting mixture for 3 minutes, then re-mix it with a mixer for 1-2 minutes.

Notes:

  • Spread the prepared solution over the surface with a toothed spatula of the appropriate size. Place the tile on the surface for 15 minutes. If the solution is on the surface for more than 15 minutes, it must be scraped off and discarded, after which a new solution must be mixed.
  • The work should be carried out at an air temperature of + 5 to + 35 °C. When laying tiles at a low (below + 5 °C) or elevated (above + 35 °C) temperature, it is necessary to cover the freshly laid tile with a thermal insulation material.
  • The grout should be applied no earlier than 24 hours after laying the tile.
  • After application, it is necessary to protect the surface from adverse weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (more than +35 °C), rain and frost.
  • The tools and equipment used must be washed with warm water immediately after use.
  • The product may cause irritation if it gets on the skin. It is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. Before starting work, you can also apply a protective cream on your hands. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with warm water and consult a doctor.

Storage rules:

  • Store in a dry, frost-proof place, in an undamaged original packaging.

1. How to choose the right tile adhesive?

It is recommended to choose tile adhesive depending on the size of the tile, on the application temperature, on the type of base on which the tile will be laid. You should also pay attention to the lifetime of the mixture and the time of commissioning of the finish coating.

2. Is it possible to use tile adhesive instead of cement?

Since the technical characteristics of cement glue are much better than ordinary cement mortar, the answer is unequivocally positive. Tile adhesive is very often used to seal small chips and small cracks in the walls.

3. How much tile glue is needed per 1 square meter?

For 1 square meter, you may need from 3 to 5 kg of dry adhesive composition. For example, when using Teknofay C1T tile adhesive, about 4 kg of dried powder will be used for 1 m2

4. Is it possible to put tiles on liquid nails?

Can. Liquid nails are a very durable and reliable material, but it is much more expensive than conventional cement-based tile adhesive. Therefore, if you need to glue one tile or part of it, then use liquid nails, but if you need to lay out an entire wall or floor with tiles, it is more convenient and economical to use cement-based tile adhesive, for example, Teknofay C1T, the cost of which is 5.86 UAH per 1 kg.

5. What happens if cement is added to the tile adhesive?

There is already cement in the tile adhesive, so it is better not to experiment, as this can lead to a decrease in the adhesion index, which is why the tile will simply fall off over time.

6. How much glue is needed for tiles on 10 sq m?

Let's calculate the required quantity of tile glue using the example of Teknofay C1T material. With an average consumption per 1 square meter of 3-5 kg per 10 m2, about 40 kg of unmixed tile composition will be needed.
