Which self-leveling floor is suitable for parking?

To date, the word "parking" is quite a popular word, since in the modern world there is nowhere without a car. The construction of new residential buildings, shopping malls, office buildings always implies the arrangement of Parking. The most important point in parking is the floor covering, since parking spaces are always in demand and are subject to increased load. This means that the coating must withstand mechanical pressure, friction, engine oil and other chemical compounds. Recently, the so-called polymer floors for parking have become particularly popular. Thanks to innovative developments in the field of chemistry, construction technologies, scientists have managed to create a special material that has become not only reliable and resistant to use, but also aesthetically attractive.

Requirements for parking floors

The general requirements are largely identical with the requirements for other industrial floors. They must be resistant to:

  • wear and tear
  • impact
  • mechanical loads
  • thermal effects
  • exposure to aggressive liquids (gasoline, oil, solutions, acids).

The optimal solution for the arrangement of a self-leveling floor is industrial, so-called polished concrete, epoxy, methyl methacrylate, polyurethane and polymer-cement.

Why do they recommend a self-leveling floor for parking?

Self-leveling floors are considered the optimal and proven option. The main advantages include:

  • absolutely flat surface without seams, which makes it easy to clean the room
  • smooth non-slip surface in dry and wet condition
  • high resistance to chemicals
  • good decorativeness, with the possibility of creating areas of different colors in one room

Teknobond self-leveling floor

An excellent solution for a self-leveling parking floor will be the use of two-component epoxy Teknobond 500. It is also used for warehouses, overpasses, cafes, restaurants, hangars, educational institutions and premises with an average load.

The main properties of the Teknobond self- leveling floor include: resistance and wear resistance to chemicals and temperature changes, water resistance, seamless. It is easy to use and has a wide palette of colors, forming a glossy surface. It is possible to create a matte or semi-matte coating.

To work with Teknobond floors, you should familiarize yourself with some nuances before you start working.

  • Immediately after application, it is necessary to protect from adverse weather conditions (direct sunlight, rain, etc.).
  • When working, it should be borne in mind that the higher the air temperature, the faster it hardens. The lower, the longer.
  • To avoid allergic reactions and irritations, use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses.
  • When storing Teknobond 500 at temperatures below 0 °C, the material may crystallize.

The device of parking floors made of polymer materials has a two-layer strong structure that guarantees wear resistance, strength, durability and attractive appearance.
