What is a self-leveling floor?
Self–leveling floor is an improved type of floor screed, with which you can create a perfectly smooth smooth surface.
The self-leveling floor can be used both as an independent coating (but it is recommended to additionally protect it by coating it with varnish or curing), and as a leveling layer before laying the finishing material, for example, tiles, laminate, parquet and others.
A significant advantage of using a self-leveling floor over a conventional screed is the possibility of carrying out repair work in one part (room) of the room, since the layer of a conventional screed is much thicker, which is very impractical.
What materials are used to create self-leveling floors?
There are several types of self-leveling floors depending on the main component, but we would like to draw your attention to the material based on the synthetic polymer Teknoself 500.
This is a self-leveling single-component cement mixture of increased strength, which is used to create self-leveling floors with a thickness of 3 mm to 30 mm. By the way, if you need to fill the surface with a thin layer from 2 mm to 10 mm, we recommend paying attention to the Teknoself material.
One of the advantages of using a Teknoself 500 self-leveling floor is a very fast solidification of the material: the surface will be ready for pedestrian loads after 2 hours, and the mixture gains a full set of strength characteristics within 15 hours.
Is it possible to use a self-leveling marble floor?
Yes! It is possible and necessary to use a self-leveling marble floor!
Firstly, it will strengthen and level the surface itself.
Secondly, it is possible to lay marble only on a perfectly flat surface, which will be provided by a self-leveling liquid mixture.
