What is an epoxy-based grout?
Epoxy–based grout is a grout based on epoxy resins and other additional chemical components, thanks to which the material becomes elastic, super-strong, very wear-resistant and high-quality.
Among the advantages of epoxy grout are:
- Zero water permeability. That is, water in no way can penetrate into the seams and destroy the decorative material.
- High strength and wear resistance. Such seams will last for many decades without cracks, splinters, etc.
- Elasticity, thanks to which the seams withstand temperature changes, shrinkage, etc.
- Resistance to many chemicals.
- Preservation of the original shade for the entire duration of operation.
- A wide palette of colors.
Due to their high strength characteristics, epoxy grouts have a very wide scope of application.
What are the areas of application of epoxy grout?
The fields of application of epoxy grout are very different: from surfaces in rooms with normal operating conditions to surfaces that are susceptible to the constant influence of moisture or chemistry.
Epoxy grouts are used:
- In residential areas, including those with high humidity, such as showers and bathrooms, balconies, kitchens, as well as kitchen aprons, etc.;
- In commercial premises;
- In rooms with an intensive degree of operation;
- In industrial premises, including those in which a large amount of chemicals are used.
Of course, the cost of epoxy-based grout is higher than standard cement materials, but its service life is longer.
