Teknobond 401 S is a two-component fast-curning thixotropic chemical anchor based on synthetic epoxy acrylate resin.

Application areas:

  • For the installation of fittings and connecting rods in concrete, hollow and solid brick
  • For anchor bolts and pins
  • For installation of pipes and plumbing in central heating, ventilation, etc.
  • For fixing injection packers
  • For gluing all types of building materials

 Properties of chemical anchor:

  • Quick-hardening
  • Easy to use
  • Pasty
  • Does not slip off any kind of surfaces
  • Prevents the development of reinforcement corrosion
  • It has a high resistance to chemicals

Complete drying 7 days
Re-application time 1 hour (at a temperature of 20 °C)
Application temperature 0 °C - + 80 °C
Pressure strength 60-70 N/mm2
Adhesion (to the concrete surface) > 4 N/mm2
Flexural strength 18-20 N/mm2
Tear-out strength ≤ 0,6 mm (under 75 kN load)
Tensile strength ≤ 0,6 mm (under 50 kN load after 3 months)
Standard In accordance with TS EN 1504-6
  • Before applying the material, clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting by using compressed air.
  • Concrete bases must be clean, strong and have sufficient adhesion.
  • Using a puncher, you should drill a hole of the required diameter and depth. The diameter and depth of the hole must correspond to the size of the anchor element used. The hole should be cleaned with a round wire brush and compressed air from dust and dirt. Then squeeze the trigger and hold it until the two separate components of the cartridge together come out of the tip of the static mixer. Slowly pull out the cartridge, filling the hole. Make sure that there are no air gaps inside.
  • An extension cord can be used in deep holes. When inserting the anchor, it is necessary to scroll it. Next, an anchor element should be placed in the hole. The anchor element must not be moved or loaded during curing.
  • To open the lid, turn it. Then install the tip of the static mixer. Place the cartridge in the gun and start applying.
  • If the application process is stopped, the tip of the static mixer can be left on the cartridge after the pressure is released.
  • If the resin has hardened in the static mixer, a new insert must be installed before starting work.

Notes:

  • Use anchor dowels to fix the anchor material to hollow materials (bricks or blocks).
  • When storing an open cartridge, remove the static mixer, wipe the cartridge neck with a clean, dry cloth and close the lid.
  • Contains styrene.
  • Combustible.
  • Harmful to health if inhaled
  • The product may cause irritation in contact with the skin and eyes. It is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with warm water and consult a doctor.
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Use in well-ventilated areas
  • The tools and equipment used must be cleaned immediately after use.

1. What are the main advantages of a chemical anchor?

The main advantages of the chemical anchor include: very fast setting time, complete tightness of the hole, high strength, durability (more than 50 years), resistance to chemicals and a wide scope of application.

2. What is the best way to attach to a brick?

The ideal solution for fixing fasteners in both solid and hollow bricks is a chemical anchor based on synthetic epoxyacrylate resin.

3. How long does the chemical anchor dry?

The chemical anchor is grasped in 7-10 minutes, depending on weather conditions. After 1-2 hours, you can load the fasteners. And the time of complete drying is about 7 days.

4. How to hammer a dowel into a hollow brick correctly?

To work with a hollow brick, you will need a chemical anchor that will qualitatively fix the dowel in the hollow material. For example, Teknobond 401 S, which is made on the basis of polyester resin.

5. What weight can the chemical anchor withstand?

The chemical anchor can withstand several times the weight of a conventional mechanical anchor, namely up to 75 kN.

6. What does a chemical anchor look like?

Chemical anchor is a thixotropic composition that consists of two components, sold in cartridges.
