The waterproofing material Teknomer 200 Crystallize is also penetrating, consists of 2 components and protects the surface from 7 atmospheres of positive and 4 atmospheres of negative water pressure. This material differs from the previous one in that it is semi-elastic and can withstand less water pressure.
How to properly waterproof a bomb shelter in a basement with your own hands?
Before using the material, first of all, it is necessary to inspect the basement for cracks, since the waterproofing material does not eliminate them. If cracks are found, they should be repaired using a suitable repair compound such as Teknorep 300 Ex.
It is also recommended to treat corners and joints with Teknomer Pah Bandi 120/70 sealing tape. It will keep the waterproofing intact even if small cracks form due to explosions nearby.
Next, you can begin preparing and applying the working mixture. Both materials should be applied in several layers perpendicular to each other with a brush or spatula.
You need to work with Teknomer 200 Ex Crystallize much faster, because the shelf life of the finished mixture is 45 minutes, unlike Teknomer 200 Crystallize, which can be applied within 2 hours.
