The construction sector is developing every day, so it is not surprising that new technologies, solutions and materials are constantly emerging. In this article we would like to tell you about a new cladding material – micro-concrete of Turkish production.
When did the micro-token appear?
The micro-concrete material itself appeared a very long time ago, since its technical characteristics and application areas are very similar to decorative plaster, which is also made on the basis of cement and polymers.
But it is believed that the production and use of micro-concrete in the form known to us began in European countries about 7 years ago.
Features of Granito Travertino micro concrete
Granito Travertino micro concrete is a very durable and wear–resistant material that is made on the basis of cement and special chemical additives that ensure the strength and durability of the coating.

This material can be used as a cladding material on horizontal and vertical ceiling and wall surfaces. And for floor cladding, you can use a material from the same series called Granito Floor.
Granito Travertino material is elastic, as it contains special chemical additives.
With the help of micro-concrete, you can create a coating similar to travertine, since there is a fraction of marble chips in the composition.
The scope of application of the material is quite wide, since it can be applied to old facing materials, for example, cement and gypsum plaster, paint and drywall. And, of course, micro-concrete can cover all mineral surfaces.
When applying micro-concrete to the old facing material, it is necessary to check the surface for strength. There should be no splinters, detachments and other damages on the surface.
Technical features of the material
Granito Travertino micro-concrete is sold in packs of 20 kg in white and gray shades.

It is possible to work with the material at an air and surface temperature of at least +5 °C and no more than +35 °C.
The lifetime of the finished mixture is 30 minutes.
Micro concrete is applied in several layers with a total thickness of 2-4 mm with a flow rate of 1-1 kg/m2 (the flow rate is calculated with a thickness of 1 mm).
The compressive strength is 15 N/mm2, and the bending strength is 1.5 N/mm2.
The adhesion of Granito Travertino micro concrete to the surface is more than 1.5 N/mm2.
Heat resistance of the material – - 30 °C - 80 °C.
