Teknosil is a colorless solvent-based hydrophobizer for concrete, stone, brick and plaster to protect against water penetration.
Scope of application:
- For external use
- For working on vertical surfaces
- For poorly absorbent surfaces such as concrete, marble, granite, slate
- For absorbent surfaces such as brick, colored briquette, aerated concrete, travertine, limestone.
- To protect historical artifacts from atmospheric influences.
Properties of water repellent:
- It has a high penetrating ability
- Colorless
- Protects the surface from environmental influences without forming a film
- Protects against alkalis and UV rays
- Vapor permeable
- Increases the strength characteristics of the surface
- Contains solvent

- Before applying the material, clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
- If there are cracks or cavities on the surface – they must be sealed with Teknorep cement compounds. Teknosil should be applied 3-4 days after the cracks are eliminated.
- Apply Teknosil on a dry surface using a roller, brush or spray gun for maximum penetration.
- The second layer should be applied after about 4 hours.
- When applying the hydrophobizer to very porous surfaces, a third layer should be applied to create maximum protection.
Notes:
- After application, the surface should be protected from adverse weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (more than +35 °C), rain and frost.
- The tools and equipment used should be cleaned immediately after use.
- Do not use the material on PVC and metal surfaces.
- When working, it is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with warm water and consult a doctor.
