Concrete:

The concrete surface must be thoroughly cleaned of weak parts, residues of any foreign materials, dirt, dust and other substances that can reduce the adhesion of the material.

Steel reinforcement:
Clean reinforcing bars from rust, concrete residues, dust and other substances that may reduce adhesion or contribute to corrosion.

Preparation of the working solution

Pour 3.5 - 4 liters of clean water into a clean container, gradually add the contents of a 20-kilogram bag, while stirring with a low-speed mixer for 5 minutes until a homogeneous solution without lumps is obtained. After mixing, leave the solution for 3 minutes and mix again before applying. You need to use a mixer with a maximum speed of 500 rpm.

Application

Priming of concrete, application of an adhesive layer:

The base must be thoroughly moistened with water two hours before applying Tekno AD. Keep the surface moist, but not wet. Excess water must be removed before applying the material. It is necessary to apply the working solution to the prepared base with a roller, brush or automatic sprayer in a thin layer until all the pores and voids are leveled and filled.

Protection of fittings from corrosion:

It is necessary to apply the first layer of the working solution with a thickness of 1 mm to the prepared base with a brush or an automatic sprayer in a thin layer until the reinforcement is completely covered. After hardening the first layer, apply a second layer with a thickness of about 1 mm. The repair solution should be applied only after the Tekno AD adhesive layer has dried.

We recommend using Teknorep series thixotropic repair mixes for vertical surfaces, and Teknogrout series self–leveling repair mixes for horizontal surfaces.

Limitation

• Do not add other components to the solution
• Do not add water to the working solution that has started to set
• Protect the surface from the effects of adverse weather conditions and ambient temperatures below 5 °C and above 35 °C immediately after application.
• Clean the equipment immediately after use.
• May cause skin irritation, use protective gloves, goggles and masks while working.

Corrosion inhibitors for the composition are divided into organic, inorganic and volatile, for the sphere of influence – neutral, acidic and alkaline, for the mechanism of action – anodic, cathodic and mixed.

Tekno AD material is considered an excellent example of a corrosion inhibitor. It is easy to work, non-toxic, increases the water resistance of concrete, protects the reinforcement from moisture and has high mechanical strength.

7. How can you reliably protect reinforcement in concrete from corrosion?
There is an effective way to stop reinforcement corrosion in concrete. Use the Tekno Ad corrosion inhibitor and adhesion enhancer. This material creates a protective barrier to protect the reinforcement in the concrete body and at the same time improves the adhesion of the reinforcement to the concrete.
8. How to improve the adhesion of new concrete to old?
Tekno Ad adhesion enhancer is a special composition that provides strong adhesion of concrete to each other. New concrete literally “sticks” to the old, which guarantees the durability of the repair of concrete and reinforced concrete objects.

9. How to properly prepare reinforcement before repairing concrete?
To reliably protect reinforcement in concrete, it is necessary to prepare it qualitatively before applying the Tekno Ad inhibitor. To do this, remove weak parts of the concrete and thoroughly clean the reinforcement from concrete residues, rust and dust using a metal brush. We clean the reinforcement to a shine and can proceed to applying Tekno Ad.
10. How to properly prepare the concrete base before pouring new concrete?
Before concreting, it is important to clean the surface of oils, dust, rust and weak parts of the concrete. For perfect adhesion, it is necessary to moisten the surface and apply Tekno Ad as an intermediate layer and adhesion enhancer between the layers of concrete.
11. How to ensure strong adhesion of the repair mixture to old concrete?
If you repair any concrete surface using repair mixtures, use the cement adhesion enhancer and corrosion inhibitor Tekno Ad. As a result, you will get reliable adhesion of the old concrete to the repair mixture.
12. How to glue the old and new concrete screed without cracks and delamination?
To securely connect the old and new concrete screed, use the Tekno Ad adhesive mixture. The material will strengthen the bond between the layers of old and new concrete, forming one continuous layer of concrete.
