Teknocila 350 is a highly effective insulating and protective acrylic-based concrete varnish.
Areas of use:

According to the standard ASTM O 309-81
  • Before applying the material, the surface should be cleaned of any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
  • The surface must be dry, strong and firm. The best methods of surface preparation are steam cleaning, high-pressure water jet or grinding.
  • The Teknocila 350 varnish is ready for use. Mix well before use.
  • It can be applied with a brush with a short pile, a roller or a mechanical sprayer.

Notes:

  • Do not apply the material during and an hour before precipitation.
  • The ingress of salts or seawater on the surface can lead to loss of gloss or discoloration.
  • The tools and equipment used should be washed immediately after use.
  • The product may cause irritation if it gets on the skin. It is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. Before starting work, you can apply a protective cream on your hands.
  • Work should be carried out at a great distance from any sources of fire, such as welding and cutting machines, and also do not smoke near the surface with varnish, since the material is flammable.

1. What kind of varnish is suitable for concrete?

Depending on the main component of the varnish, they can be acrylic, polyurethane, polymer, etc. A suitable varnish for concrete should be chosen depending on the scope of application and the intensity of surface operation.

2. Do I need to prime the concrete before the varnish?

There is no need to prime the concrete surface before applying the varnish. The varnish is applied to clean, durable dry concrete.

3. What can be used to cover a concrete walkway?

The best option for finishing a concrete walkway is an acrylic-based concrete varnish, for example, Teknocila 350. The thickness of the coating is about 135 microns. 

4. How can I cover a concrete screed?

Depending on the scope of operation and surface features, the concrete screed can be impregnated with an impregnation, for example, Teknoser Lityum, or it can be coated with an acrylic varnish for concrete, for example, Teknocila 350.
