A1

  • Teknoser 100 is applied to the surface by the dry on wet method. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. It is usually used in warehouses, covered parking lots, hangars, commercial and industrial premises, offices, supermarkets and other areas with heavy traffic of people.
  • The material consumption depends on the method of application and the concrete mixture:

    • For light and medium loads – 4-5 kg/m2
    • For medium and heavy loads – 5-8 kg/m2
    • For colored surfaces, light tones – 6-8 kg/m2.

Foundation quality / preliminary preparation

  • High-quality concrete mix should be used, which must meet the requirements of local standards. The characteristics of concrete are determined by its class, established by its static calculation and general recommendations for the design of concrete mixtures. The water-cement ratio should not be too low, since a certain amount of water is necessary for the hydration of Teknoser 100.
  • After pouring the concrete, the surface should be leveled with vibrators until the required evenness index is reached.
  • Immediately, as soon as the concrete begins to withstand the weight of a person and a concrete finishing machine almost without sagging, a preliminary grout of concrete is made with a disk to remove the dried crust of "cement milk".

Application

Teknoser 100 (~65% of the total consumption) is applied to the prepared concrete surface using special distribution trolleys or manually. First of all, the mixture should be applied to areas near walls, columns, doorways, etc., as they lose moisture faster. It is forbidden to add water and wet the mixture, this may lead to a decrease in the technical characteristics of the coating. After the hardener absorbs moisture, binds to the concrete and darkens, it is necessary to rub the surface with a grout machine. It should be rubbed until a homogeneous coating with a fortifier and cement paste is obtained. Immediately after the completion of the first grout, the remaining mixture (~ 35%) should be applied so that it has time to absorb the moisture that remains in the concrete. Immediately after Teknoser 100 absorbs moisture and darkens, you should start mashing. For better rubbing of the dry mixture and obtaining a perfectly smooth surface, you can additionally rub the topping several more times. The surface is considered ready when a smooth, smooth, "mirror" coating is achieved using special distribution trolleys or manually.

Limitations

  • Teknoser 100 should not be used if mineral impurities (fly ash, etc.) are added to the concrete mixture.
  • Do not apply the fortifier in strong winds and drafts.
  • The characteristics of the concrete mix, such as the water content and the quality of the concrete, can lead to slight variations in the color of the surface.
  • It is necessary to apply Teknoser 100 as evenly as possible and be sure to observe the time intervals and grout techniques.
  • In conditions of low relative humidity (below 40%), the surface may lighten.
  • In conditions of high relative humidity (above 80%), water release may occur, a slowdown in strength gain and an increase in work completion time.
  • Shrinkage seams should be cut within two days, if the surface is cut later, this process will be quite difficult.
  • Discoloration during the drying period is a common occurrence.

1. What kind of topping is there?

Toppings for concrete are corundum and quartz. Depending on the main component, topping strengthens the concrete surface from 1.5 to 2 times. Teknoser 100 is considered a high-quality topping with quartz filler, the strength of which is 55 MPa.

2. How to apply topping to concrete?

Topping is evenly scattered over the concrete surface in 1-2 layers with a consumption of 2-4 kg/m2, after which it is rubbed with special grout machines (helicopters). Next, it is recommended to cover the surface with a membrane-forming agent, for example, Teknokur 100 to protect the surface from moisture loss.

3. What to do with topping?

Having no experience with dry topping, it is better not to do the work yourself, since for high-quality hardening of concrete with topping, you need to follow the correct application technology.

4. What is a concrete floor with topping?

A concrete floor with topping is a hardened surface that is resistant to moisture and chemicals, as well as to mechanical damage. Concrete floor with topping is a durable smooth non-slip frost-resistant surface.

5. What are topping floors?

Topping floors are concrete floors covered with a dry hardener immediately after pouring concrete. Topping floors are quartz and corundum. Suitable for both internal and external application.

6. What is the consumption of topping?

The average consumption of Teknoser 100 topping is 2-4 kg/m2 in 1 layer of application. It can be applied in either 1 or 2 layers.
