Teknoser Sodyum is a liquid colorless hardening agent based on sodium glycate. It is also used to prevent the formation of dust.

Application

Teknoser Sodyum is designed to improve the wear resistance and strengthen concrete surfaces, protect against the penetration of foreign substances and increase the stability of concrete from physical impact. Suitable for both freshly laid and hardened concrete. It is usually used on horizontal concrete surfaces where it is necessary to ensure its rigidity. For example, during the construction of warehouses, industrial facilities, for indoor and outdoor parking lots, aircraft hangars and helicopter runways, as well as for maintenance stations.

Features / Advantages

  • Increases the strength of concrete due to crystals that penetrate deep into the pores
  • Increases the wear resistance of the surface
  • Eliminates the formation of dust from coated surfaces
  • Reduces moisture loss of freshly laid concrete during curing
  • Prevents cracking
  • Prevents the destruction of the surface at low temperatures
  • Improves the appearance of concrete
  • It does not contain solvents and odors
  • Suitable for both freshly laid and existing concrete
Expiration date 12 months in a dry environment in a closed package

Foundation quality / preliminary preparation

Teknoser Sodyum can be applied to existing or freshly laid concrete. Fresh concrete must be aged for 7-14 days to achieve sufficient strength. Before applying the material, it is necessary to clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, dirt and other substances that may prevent penetration into the substrate. All old coatings and impregnations must be removed manually or mechanically.
The concrete quality should be from C20/25, the screed quality from EN 13813 CT C25-F4.

Application

The material should be applied evenly and continuously using a mechanical sprayer in such an amount that the applied film remains wet for 30 minutes. After 30-45 minutes, the material will begin to thicken. Lightly moisten the surface by spraying water to reduce slipping, then treat it for 10-20 minutes with a soft bristle brush or using a special floor cleaning machine. After 20 minutes, the material will begin to thicken again. It is necessary to wash the floor and remove the material with a mop or a vacuum cleaner for wet cleaning.
For porous surfaces with a rough texture, it may be necessary to apply another layer. The second layer is applied only after the first one dries.
Curing occurs after 7 days, and the glossy effect appears on the surface gradually after 30-90 days, depending on the frequency of surface washing.

Limitations

In hot weather (above +30 °C), store Teknokur 100 in a cool place before use.
At low temperatures (below +5 °C), this product may begin to thicken, while its ability to spray decreases.
The surface hardener may differ in shades depending on the type of concrete surface on which the mixture is applied.
Make sure that the spray equipment is clean and thoroughly clean it from the remnants of previous materials before use.
When applying with a spray gun, make sure that the base is evenly coated.
Do not use on surfaces treated with fortifiers or membrane-forming agents until these layers have been removed.
Regular washing of floors increases its shine.
The material is not intended for surfaces that are light in weight, high in porosity, or have a very low cement content.

1. How is the concrete floor impregnated?

A good material for impregnating a concrete surface is considered to be the Teknoser Sodyum material based on sodium silicate, which must be applied to high-quality durable concrete or screed.

2. How can I cover the concrete floor in the garage?

The concrete floor in the garage can be impregnated with sodium impregnation, for example, Teknoser Sodyum or reinforced with concrete topping, for example Teknoser 100. Both options will serve as excellent protection of the concrete surface.

3. How to strengthen the concrete surface?

It is possible to strengthen the concrete surface with the help of sodium impregnation Teknoser Sodyum, which is used both inside and outside the premises.

4. How to strengthen the concrete floor?

The concrete floor can be reinforced with dry topping, concrete varnish, concrete additives during pouring, as well as impregnation, which serves as both a hardener and a finishing coating at once.

5. How to cover the floor in the warehouse?

The concrete floor in the warehouse must be strengthened, as heavy loaders pass through it and there are racks with products weighing several tons, which will destroy the "bare" concrete very quickly. A good option for the finish coating is a non-sodium impregnation of Teknoser Sodyum.

6. How to strengthen the top layer of concrete?

It is best to impregnate concrete with an impregnation based on lithium silicate or sodium silicate, which will strengthen the surface, increase wear resistance, prevent cracking and create a beautiful glossy non-dusting coating.
