• Before applying the material, clean the surface from any types of oil, rust, detergents, dirt and other substances that prevent setting.
• When applying paint to a freshly laid surface, you should wait for it to dry completely.
• If there are cracks or potholes on the concrete or asphalt surface– they should be repaired beforehand with Teknorep repair solutions.
• Before applying the paint, the material should be mixed with a low-speed mixer for about 3 minutes until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
• To apply the first coat of paint as a primer, add 5-10 % solvent to the material and apply to the surface. After 1 hour, a second coat of paint should be applied without the addition of a solvent or, if necessary, with the addition of a solvent in the proportion of 5-10 % to the weight of the paint. After 1 hour, apply the 3rd coat of paint without adding solvent.
• The paint can be applied with a brush, roller or a special device for marking road paint.

Notes:

• Do not add any chemical elements to the paint.
• In no case should the paint penetrate into the sewers or drains.
• Do not use paint in the rain.
• Do not dilute the paint with water.
• After applying the paint, the surface should be protected from adverse weather conditions, such as direct sunlight, strong wind, high air temperature (above 35 °C), rain and frost.
• The tools and equipment used should be cleaned immediately after use.
• The material contains a solvent, so it should be stored away from sources of fire.

1. What is diluted with paint for road markings?

Road paint can be diluted with Tekno solvent in a ratio of 5-10% to the total weight of the paint and applied with a mechanical spray gun. Between the layers, you need to pause for 1 hour.

2. How long does road paint dry?

Teknobond 980 road paint dries in an average of 3 hours. The second layer can be applied 1 hour after applying the first one.

3. How are the markings applied to the road?

Marking on the road is applied within 15 minutes after mixing with a brush, roller or a special device that is designed for marking road paint.
