Teknoser 300 is a hardening agent (topping) for fresh concrete surfaces, which includes corundum crumbs, hydraulic binder, special chemical additives, polymer additives and a special coloring pigment. Increases the strength properties of the concrete surface by 2 times.

Application

Teknoser 300 is applied to freshly laid concrete using the "dry on wet" method. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. After grouting into fresh concrete, the floor surface becomes durable, smooth, and wear-resistant. It is usually used in underground passages, covered parking lots, warehouses, gas stations, hangars, commercial and industrial premises, offices, supermarkets and other areas with heavy traffic.
It is recommended to use only specialists who have experience with this technology.

  • The material consumption depends on the method of application and the concrete mixture:

    • For light and medium loads – 4-5 kg/m2
    • For medium and heavy loads – 5-8 kg/m2
    • For colored surfaces, light tones – 6-8 kg/m2

Foundation quality / preliminary preparation

  • High-quality concrete mix should be used, which must meet the requirements of local standards. The characteristics of concrete are determined by its class, established by its static calculation and general recommendations for the design of concrete mixtures. The water-cement ratio should not be too low, since a certain amount of water is necessary for the hydration of Teknoser 300.
  • After pouring the concrete, the surface should be leveled with vibrators until the required evenness index is reached.
  • Immediately, as soon as the concrete begins to withstand the weight of a person and a concrete finishing machine almost without sagging, a preliminary grout of concrete is made with a disk to remove the dried crust of "cement milk".

Application

Teknoser 300 (~65% of the total consumption) is applied to the prepared concrete surface using special distribution trolleys or manually. First of all, the mixture should be applied to areas near walls, columns, doorways, etc., as they lose moisture faster. It is forbidden to add water and wet the mixture, this may lead to a decrease in the technical characteristics of the coating. After the hardener absorbs moisture, binds to the concrete and darkens, it is necessary to rub the surface with a grout machine. It should be rubbed until a homogeneous coating with a fortifier and cement paste is obtained. Immediately after the completion of the first grout, the remaining mixture (~ 35%) should be applied so that it has time to absorb the moisture that remains in the concrete. Immediately after Teknoser 300 absorbs moisture and darkens, you should start mashing. For better rubbing of the dry mixture and obtaining a perfectly smooth surface, you can additionally rub the topping several more times. The surface is considered ready when a smooth, smooth, "mirror" coating is achieved using special distribution trolleys or manually.

Limitation

  • Teknoser 300 should not be used if mineral impurities (fly ash, etc.) are added to the concrete mixture, this will lead to sticking and lower productivity.
  • Do not apply the fortifier in strong wind or draft.
  • The characteristics of the concrete mix, such as the water content and the quality of the concrete, can lead to slight variations in the color of the surface.
  • It is necessary to apply Teknoser 300 as evenly as possible and be sure to observe the time intervals and grout techniques.
  • In conditions of low relative humidity (below 40%), the surface may lighten.
  • In conditions of high relative humidity (above 80%), water release may occur, a slowdown in strength gain and an increase in work completion time.
  • Shrinkage seams should be cut within two days, if the surface is cut later, this process will be quite difficult.
  • During the drying period, the color may change.

1. What is a concrete floor with topping?

After covering the concrete floor with topping, the surface becomes 1.5-2 times stronger, as well as waterproof, resistant to mechanical influences and chemicals.

2. How to apply topping correctly?

Topping is scattered evenly on freshly laid concrete in 1-2 layers. Then it is rubbed with special grout machines, paying special attention to the corners. When using Teknoser 300 topping, the consumption per 1 m2 will be from 2 to 4 kg.

3. What is topping coverage?

Topping coating is a dry hardener for a concrete surface. It is used for concrete floors in production workshops, factories, industrial buildings, warehouses, exhibition centers, shopping malls and other areas with heavy traffic of people.

4. Quartz or corundum topping?

Both toppings with quartz filler and with corundum crumbs are considered very durable and high-quality hardeners. High-quality corundum topping, such as Teknoser 300, strengthens the concrete surface by 2 times.
