Hydrophilic cord 10×20 mm on an acrylic base for sealing concrete construction joints

Hydrophilic cord 10×20 mm is a modern acrylic-based sealing material designed for reliable waterproofing of construction seams, joints and communication points in concrete structures. When in contact with water, the cord swells evenly, increasing in size by up to 300%, fills cavities, microcracks and capillaries, creating an effective barrier to water penetration.

Controlled expansion does not create excessive pressure on the concrete, so the material is safe for structures and provides long-term protection even in difficult operating conditions. The cord is suitable for new construction and repair of concrete and reinforced concrete structures.

Where is hydrophilic cord used?

The material is widely used for sealing:

• swimming pools;

• tanks for drinking and technical water;

• treatment facilities;

• working and structural joints of concrete structures;

• joints between the foundation and walls;

• passages of pipes and utilities through the foundation;

• PVC pipes as a watertight flange;

• hydraulic structures;

• underground parking lots, tunnels, basements and foundations;

• structures operated in conditions of exposure to seawater.

Installation recommendations

After installation, the hydrophilic cord must be protected from premature contact with moisture until concreting. Installation should be carried out on a clean, solid and dry base.

Usage restrictions

• Not applicable for expansion (movement) joints.

• It is not recommended to install during constant exposure to water or with high groundwater levels.

• Before pouring concrete, the material must be protected from rain and moisture.
