Teknomer 120 is a concrete additive for waterproofing concrete surfaces, which makes the surface resistant to positive and negative water pressure.
Application areas:
- For building foundations
- For bored piles
- For swimming pools, water tanks
- For underground parking lots, tunnels, dams
- For precast reinforced concrete elements
- For water treatment plants
Properties of concrete ad compound:
- It is resistant to positive and negative water pressure
- Easy to use
- Prevents carbonation in concrete
- Vapor permeable
- Increases the strength and frost resistance of concrete.
- It does not contain chlorides

Time of mixing cement with Teknomer 120 in a concrete mixer |
3-5 minutes |
When the water / cement ratio is < 0.45 – the ratio of the additive in the cement compound is up to 2.5%
When the water / cement ratio is ~0.50 – the ratio of the additive in the cement compound is up to 2.5%
When the water / cement ratio is ~0.55 – the ratio of the additive in the cement compound is up to 3%
- Teknomer 120 should be added to the concrete mixer at the rate of 2-3% of the volume of the compound and mixed for 3-5 minutes.
- The lifetime of the compound after adding Teknomer 120 is up to 45 minutes.
- When using CEM or 111 portland cement, it is recommended to use a setting retarder.
- After mixing and homogenizing the material, it can be reused.
Notes:
- Immediately after applying the material, it is necessary to protect the surface from adverse weather conditions (direct sunlight, high temperatures < + 35 °C, precipitation and frost).
- It is not recommended to store Teknomer 120 at a temperature below + 8 °C, as crystallization may occur.
- The product may cause irritation if it gets on the skin. It is necessary to use work clothes, protective gloves, a mask and glasses. Before starting work, you can also apply a protective cream on your hands. In case of contact with the eyes, immediately rinse the eyes with warm water.
1. Why do we need additives in concrete?
Concrete additives are used to harden the concrete mixture, to give water resistance to concrete, to increase the elasticity of the material, and so on. They are added to the concrete mixture and mixed until smooth before pouring.
2. What to add to concrete for waterproofing?
There are several ways to waterproofing concrete. One of the simplest, but at the same time effective methods is the use of an additive in concrete during pouring to make the concrete surface resistant to moisture, for example, Teknomer 120.
3. What is added to concrete for water resistance?
For water resistance, special hydrophobic additives are added to the concrete. An excellent option is the additive Teknomer 120, which makes the surface resistant to positive and negative water pressure.
4. How to increase the moisture resistance of concrete?
You can cover the concrete surface with waterproofing or add a special additive to the concrete mixture to give moisture resistance to the concrete base.
5. How to make water-repellent concrete?
In order for the concrete to become waterproof, you can add a hydrophobic additive Teknomer 120 in a ratio of 2-3% to the mass of the concrete mixture and pour the concrete within 45 minutes.
6. What is a hydrophobic additive?
Hydrophobic (water repellent) additive for concrete is a special concrete additive for waterproofing concrete surfaces. it makes the surface resistant to positive and negative water pressure.
