Surface preparation and application
- The surface to be applied must be free of dust, oil, dirt, rust and other substances that may reduce the adhesion of the material.
- Weak parts of the surface, cavities, holes and cracks must be repaired in advance with appropriate Teknorep repair mortars.
- Before applying Teknomer 400 2K EX, the prepared surface must be coated with Teknomer 400 Astar bitumen-rubber primer.
- Mix component A with an electric mixer (300-400 rpm) or other similar equipment until a uniform color and consistency is achieved. Add component B to component A and mix for 3 minutes until the mixture achieves a uniform color.
- The mixed, ready-to-use product is applied to the surface with a stiff-bristled brush, roller or spray. Each subsequent layer of material is applied no earlier than 3 hours after the previous one.
- Each subsequent layer of material is applied in a direction perpendicular to the application of the previous layer.
- After applying the material, the surface should be protected from adverse weather conditions: direct sunlight, strong wind, precipitation, high and low temperatures.
- The equipment must be cleaned immediately after application. Once the material has hardened, it can only be cleaned mechanically.
